Global mental health experts meet in Geneva

United for Global Mental Health was at the WHO Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP) Forum meeting this week in Geneva, taking place from the 11th to the 12th of October. The theme of this year’s meeting is Accelerating Country Action on Mental Health which is a perfect fit for United for Global Mental Health as it looks to catalyse and support national campaigns on global health in a number of countries in 2019. And to encourage political leaders around the world to take action.

Our CEO, Elisha London, spoke on the opening panel along with representatives from the WHO, the governments of Canada and the Netherlands and Harvard University. She shared the films made by United for Global Mental Health with its partners to communicate the message that it is #TimeToAct. Elisha outlined plans for engaging the public and decision-makers across the world to drive support for action on mental health and help deliver the WHO’s Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan.
