The new business-led collaboration focusing on mental health at work

The Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health is aiming to create a world where all workplace leaders recognise signs of struggle, have the right tools to support employees, and commit to taking real action on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

In November 2019, United for Global Mental Health convened a group of experts, NGOs, charities and businesses to discuss how best to progress workplace mental health globally.

Since then, we are delighted to have played our part in the formation of The Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health – the first business-led global collaboration of its kind focused on advocating and accelerating progress in workplace mental health.

Together with academic experts, multilateral institutions, and not-for-profit organisations, the business-led collaboration is working to advocate for – and accelerate – positive change for mental health in the workplace on a global basis.

It aims to create a world where all workplace leaders recognise signs of struggle, have the right tools to support employees, and commit to taking real action on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

With founding partners BHP, BP, Clifford Chance, Deloitte, HSBC, Unilever and Salesforce, the collaboration will share learnings and insights, and explore new research and partnerships to advance progress.

Take Action

No one business has all the answers when it comes to workplace mental health. That is why the Collaboration is building a global community of visionary business leaders who are willing to prioritise workplace mental health, and share learnings and insights, to help build a Roadmap for change – wherever a global business is on its journey.

The Collaboration is calling on business leaders to make a public Pledge to prioritising the creation of a mentally healthy workplace for their own employees. The Pledge includes six key commitments from building an action plan, to creating a positive culture, tackling stigma and measuring progress.
