July's webinar will cover violence and mental health: opportunities for prevention and intervention

The #MHforAll webinar will take place on Tuesday 26th July at 14:00 BST (15:00 CEST). You can register here

Our panel will draw on new research from the Lancet and discuss the findings and recommendations of the latest Intimate Partner Violence commission. They will also explore the impacts of online violence and the topic of violence on the family.

The #MHforAll series has been a successful global forum, with a total audience of over 7,000 viewers, and many more engagements. Since April 2020 we have hosted monthly Mental Health For All webinars with over 120 speakers from more than 40 countries. The audience tends to be a very diverse mix of mental health professionals, funders, bilateral governments, UN agencies, NGOs, private sector representatives, academics, and researchers from all parts of the world.

The #MHforAll series is designed to provide policymakers and the wider health community with the latest evidence on the most pressing and often neglected issues of mental health around the world. It is an opportunity to learn and share ideas which provide practical solutions to the challenges we are facing.

How the Mental Health For All Webinars started:

In April 2020, The Lancet Psychiatry, Mental Health Innovation Network, MHPSS.net and United for Global Mental Health launched a webinar series designed to provide policymakers and the wider health community with the latest evidence on the impact of COVID-19 on mental health and how to address it.

Since then, we have seen increased interest in global mental health more generally and so have expanded the topics covered by the webinars beyond just COVID-19.

The GMHAN Mental Health For All Webinars happen monthly at 09:00 EST; 14:00 GMT; 15:00 CET; 15:00 SAST; 18:30 IST. Each session is 50 minutes.
