Babita Sharma joins UnitedGMH board of trustees

Passionate about diversity and mental health, Babita brings with her a wealth of experience. From her work as news anchor for BBC World News covering global affairs, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, to her presenting of several television documentaries, including her landmark series Dangerous Borders: The Story of India & Pakistan, she has worked extensively on covering international events and high impact stories. Alongside the FCO and BBC Media Action, she has also developed presenter-training programmes for young aspiring journalists in London, Cambodia and Myanmar.

About her appointment, Babita said:

I am honoured to be joining the team at a time when the work of UnitedGMH is critical to our global family which is facing a mental health emergency. I’m excited to support their vision in driving forward a global movement on mental health and to help as many people as possible.
