Pinterest & United for Global Mental Health
Why Pinterest is partnering with United for Global Mental Health
Pinterest partners with United for Global Mental Health because of a powerful, shared mission: to make mental health a priority for everyone, everywhere.
They recognised our global expertise in mental health advocacy, policy, and systems change, and saw a unique opportunity to amplify their commitment to user well-being.
Together, we’re working to tackle stigma, promote positive mental health online, and ensure that people around the world can access the support they need, when they need it most.
Areas of Focus for Their Donation
Pinterest’s support helps power the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN), the world’s largest platform for mental health advocacy, with a strong focus on equity, inclusion, and support for young people. Their backing enables us to establish diverse, fairly compensated leadership and create inclusive, multilingual spaces where non-English-speaking communities can shape global mental health priorities.
With Pinterest’s support, we will strengthen the work of GMHAN, including membership growth and expansion into regions such as China, Australia, and Latin America, as well as empowering young advocates with the tools, training, and platforms to drive meaningful change.
Together, we’re driving accountability through high-level advocacy at events like the UN General Assembly, calling for action on priorities such as suicide decriminalisation, increased mental health funding, and the integration of mental health into global health commitments.
